The MicroDwell Movement has taken over. People are shrinking their living quarters to decrease their carbon footprint, get rid of excess clutter, and live smaller and smarter.
Artists, designers, architects, builders, and collaborative teams will construct microdwellings on the grounds and orchard of the Center to be exhibited from February 15 – March 23, 2014.
All dwellings must be 600 square feet or less. Design and construction should demonstrate simpler, eco- friendly living, a diversity of materials, low-cost variable sizes, for a variety of purposes including but not limited to studio spaces, living spaces, or small abodes for families to share playtime activities.
